Tim Shea

Actor /Model

To whom it may concern, my name is Tim Shea, a twenty seven year old aspiring actor, currently located in Metairie, Louisiana just minutes away from New Orleans. I am a pretty laid back guy who enjoys staying in shape, hitting the gym, competing in physique competitions, dancing, spending time with friends, traveling and of course eating good food. I also enjoy reading a lot of self-help books in which have helped me stay motivated currently in this life.

My story towards loving the entertainment business started when I was working as a front desk boy at one of the local gyms. I was straight out of high school -my diploma being my highest degree of education- where I was just a kid trying to find his niche in this world just like every one else. I had been an avid fan of the fitness industry since I was a little boy so it only felt right to work there from the beginning. I am still passionate about it to this day. It is my lifestyle and it is what continues to motivate me every day. I even received my ASCM certification to be a personal trainer in order to inspire others to invest in this lifestyle. It is definitely not an easy one, but it is something that is completely beneficial in the end.

While working at the gym, I gained the courage to start competing in physique competitions around the area. I was in the best shape of my life when I decided to step my foot into that industry. I started to see a different version of myself in the mirror, a version that I was very proud of and did not know existed. I was confident and proud of the person that I evolved into. I felt like I was on top of the world.  I even won a few awards here and there, leading me towards wanting something even greater than I could ever imagine. I wanted more.

Not long after and during competing in the physique shows, I built up enough confidence to do auditions for acting jobs locally. I did not realize how much I loved being a part of an industry that allowed me to feel like a kid again. I was serious about it but it was also my escape from reality. I was able to pretend to be something else or to be someone else. It was not because I was ashamed of who I was, but, once again, it was my escape from reality. I loved that feeling so much that it became the reason why I enjoyed this industry. I could be whatever I wanted to be and whoever I wanted to be.

I started working on movie sets as well as commercials and have met a great amount of people with dreams as big as mine. Matter of fact, some of those people became my best friends that I, to this day, am very thankful for. We all dream the same dreams, we all have the same ambitions and same goals in life. We do not give up because without effort, there is no growth. We challenge each other and that has definitely helped me climb a little higher up the ladder. Those are the type of people I like to surround myself with.

So far, I have been featured on multiple advertisements for big companies such as Toyota, an ad for Iphone6 and the Louisiana Lottery commercial. I have also played a few principle roles in a couple of television series here and there in New Orleans. I was casted as “Sargeant Bell” in the episode titled “Love Hurts” in the television series NCIS New Orleans. I had another role in which I played a marine sniper on the episode titled “Stranger Danger/ Justice Served” in the television series Murderous Affairs. I was also an extra in the movie “Kickboxer Vengeance,” as one of the fighters in training.

I am hoping to continue working on more movie and television sets as well as continue to be more educated about the industry. I want to grow as an actor and as an entertainer. I have done an acting work shop with Jim Gleason where I had learned on how to be comfortable in front of the camera. I learned about which angles worked best for me as well as facial expressions during my performances. I also learned some tips on how to efficiently memorize my scripts better for audition days. There was a lot I had learned, but there will always be room for improvement and I will continue to execute that for future projects. There is no such thing as going to too many workshops or working on too many sets as an extra. I believe that the more workshops and casting calls that I invest into and the more time I give myself to practice, I will become a better overall entertainer.

I am a small town guy living in the Big Easy with ambitions waiting to be executed. Not only does acting and the fitness world allow me to escape from reality and keep me young and free, it also motivates me to inspire others as well. Both are very competitive industries and I am a witness to that. It has already been a couple of years since I started this journey and I wanted to be able to show others that it takes a lot of effort and consistency in order to have the best results. I know for a fact that nothing happens over night. But the more room we make to make those ambitions into reality, the closer we are to meet those goals. There are many roles that I want to partake in, many stories that I want to be a part of and plenty of talented actors I want to collaborate with in this business. And I will continue to strive to reach those successes until I am content then it is on to the next best thing!
