Theo Wilson graduated from Florida A&M University with his degree in Theater Performance. He immediately began acting as an intern with the St. Louis Black Repertory company, and performing in countless touring company shows. He returned to Denver and joined the Shadow Theater Company under the direction of the late Jeffrey Nicholson, and performed in shows such as Smokey Joe’s Cafe and Oscar and Felix. Since then, his theater credits include Ruined as ‘Jerome Kisembe’, Hair as ‘Hud’, Gospel at Colonus as ‘Polyneices’, Shakespeare’s Pericles as ‘Lysimachus’, and Six Degrees of Separation as ‘Paul’. He has won numerous Slam Poetry awards, including winning the National Poetry Slam Championship in 2011 alongside Denver’s own ‘Slam Nuba.’ Theo was a part of the Denver Center of Performing Arts inaugural run of Black Odyssey, and has worked with Vintage Theater, El Centro Su Teatro, Cleo Parker Robinson, His and Hers Productions, and Evergreen Theater. He is proud to join the Cathexis Family.
