Character Breakdown

1. MONA KLAHAN (FEMALE, EARLY 40S) $360/DAY 5 DAYS

• Overview: Once radiant and full of hope, now trapped in an abusive marriage. Displays resilience and compassion despite her circumstances. Seeks solace in faith and a supportive community.

• Notes: Must convey both vulnerability (physical and emotional bruises) and an underlying strength that emerges as she seeks a better life.

2. WILLIAM KLAHAN (MALE, MID-40S) $360/DAY 4 DAYS

• Overview: Mona’s husband. Once a loving partner, he has spiraled into an abusive, controlling figure deeply involved in criminal activities.

• Notes: Needs to show both the earlier charm and the menacing presence of a man shaped by anger and ambition. Physically imposing or with a commanding demeanor.

3. ROBBY SALAZAR (MALE, MID-40S) $360/DAY 5 DAYS

• Overview: Powerful cartel leader, outwardly confident but inwardly weighed down by guilt and regrets. On the brink of a moral crossroads after a lifetime of crime.

• Notes: Must portray a stoic exterior with glimpses of emotional vulnerability, especially upon learning the devastating impact of his decisions (Mona’s last name revelation).

4. MARK SPINOZZA (MALE, LATE 20S) $360/DAY 4 DAYS

• Overview: A skilled hitman, wrongfully convicted in the past. Struggles with remorse and disillusionment, vacillates between wanting out and continuing his violent work.

• Notes: Athletic build or credible physicality. Must effectively portray inner conflict—he’s dangerous but longing for a way to escape the life.

5. JADEN (FEMALE, LATE 20S) $260/DAY 3 DAYS

• Overview: Caught between loyalty to Robby’s cartel and genuine affection for Mark. Initially tasked with spying on him but ends up developing real feelings.

• Notes: Needs a layered performance—confident and seductive on the surface, harboring deep conflict and remorse underneath.

6. LUCIA (FEMALE, LATE 30S) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: High-ranking member of Robby’s cartel. Poised, intelligent, and keenly aware of power dynamics.

• Notes: Commands respect with a quiet intensity. Often the voice of strategic action within the cartel.

7. HUGO (MALE, LATE 40S) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: Another senior figure in the cartel. A calculating mind who questions Robby’s leadership at times and pushes for decisive action.

• Notes: Stoic, loyal to the cartel’s success, willing to confront Robby if he senses weakness.

8. JUSTIN (MALE, 22) $360/DAY 5 DAYS

• Overview: College student torn between a desire for a better life and the lure of quick money/power through gang life. Feels trapped by family and financial struggles.

• Notes: A younger look who can carry the weight of moral conflict, culminating in a traumatic turning point (the killing of William).

9. JAYSON (MALE, 27) $360/DAY 3 DAYS

• Overview: Gang member who brings Justin into the fold. Charismatic and street-smart, sees a future beyond crime but believes crime is currently his only ticket out.

• Notes: Big-brother figure to Justin. Must balance charm and the harsh realities of gang life.

10. DENIS (MALE, 20S TO 30S) $360/DAY 3 DAYS

• Overview: Aggressive, impulsive gang member. Thrives on intimidation and sees Justin’s moral qualms as a liability.

• Notes: Physically or temperamentally intimidating. Quick to challenge others and escalate conflicts.

11. PETER (MALE, 30S TO 40S) $360/DAY 3 DAYS

• Overview: Gang leader calling the shots in Justin’s crew. Low-key menacing, expects loyalty above all else.

• Notes: Carries authority calmly, but can snap if challenged. Polices gang loyalty and enforces brutal rules.

12. DAMIAN (MALE, MID-40S) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: Justin’s father, an alcoholic who’s given up on dreams of a better life. Undercuts Justin’s hopes with cynicism.

• Notes: Worn-out appearance or aura of defeat. A constant reminder of what Justin fears becoming.

13. LISA (FEMALE, 40S) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: Sharp-eyed madame of the Pink Ribbon House. Once held Mona under her employ. Hard-nosed, practical, and runs her illicit business ruthlessly.

• Notes: Must show the capacity for a veneer of politeness overlaying a ruthless core.

14. AMY (FEMALE, 18) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: A young girl caught in William’s trafficking network. Timid, fearful, and desperate.

• Notes: Brief role but must convey the horror of her situation in minimal screen time.

15. ALAN (MALE, LATE 40S) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: Mona’s old friend, gracious and friendly. Appears at a party, reflecting a life Mona could have had outside William.

• Notes: Warm presence, offers Mona a glimpse of normalcy and gentle camaraderie.

16. MICHAEL (MALE, 22) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: Justin’s college friend, an earnest bystander who tries to support him academically and socially.

• Notes: Represents what Justin might become if he stays on the right path. Friendly, sincere tone.

17. OLDER WOMAN (FEMALE, LATE 60S) $280/DAY 1 DAY

• Overview: A kind churchgoer struggling with donations. Mona helps her, showcasing Mona’s compassion.

• Notes: Small but heartwarming role; exudes warmth and gratitude.

• Overview: A dignified yet approachable pastor working tirelessly against gang violence. Becomes a confidant and spiritual guide for Mona (and indirectly Robby).
