I was born in New York City and began working as a child model at the tender age of four. I was always small for my age, and a good reader, which helped me get cast in over one hundred parts including TV, commercials, radio (dramas and voice-overs) and stage. I worked a lot, and of course attended school, until I was in my teens. During this time I studied diction, acting, voice, tap, ballet and jazz.
I graduated from high school at the age of 16, and decided that I wanted to work with children who had special needs. I got my B.A. in Early Childhood Education, and my M.S. in Special Education from Queens College, and began working as a teacher. I was lucky enough to teach in New York, Florida and California.
Over the years I’ve volunteered in many and varying situations including local hospitals, Reading for the Blind, MADD, tutoring, and some political candidates.
I realized, as I got older, that my passion for the arts was still there, and going strong. So, in 2007, I received a PhD from the Union Institute and University in Theater Arts.
I recently moved to Denver to be near family.
My current hobbies/interests include swing dancing, indie/foreign film, improv comedy class, Mah Jongg, and travel.
